Overview
Penn State Go was a capstone project focused on designing a more unified and personalized mobile experience for students at Penn State University. The goal was to enhance the existing app by consolidating key campus resources, navigation, and student services into a single, intuitive interface.
Over the course of 10 weeks, I collaborated with two team members to reimagine how students interact with the platform. Our process included research, stakeholder interviews, ideation, design, and user testing — all while aligning with Penn State Go's existing design system and mission.
Through our research, we identified a major gap in the current experience: limited access to essential financial tools such as meal plan tracking, payment options, and budgeting features. These pain points directly impacted students' ability to manage daily campus life efficiently.
In response, we designed a set of integrated solutions aimed at improving accessibility, personalization, and overall usability. Our final deliverable included a high-fidelity prototype and a practical implementation plan, which we presented to the Penn State Go team.
